I purchased this tractor in 1982. It had set out in the weather for many years and took a lot of work to get in decent condition. It was originaly shipped to Ellsworth and was built in 1922.

I got this one in 1989. It is a 1917 15-30 Model F. It only runs on one cylinder as thats all there is. It runs fairly decent but still needs a little work. |
Starting The 25-45 R
This is Mike Bechel cranking the 25-45 to go out and do a little plowing. That long handle is the starter. I am on top doing the easy part operating the controls. Usually if the engine is cool a couple pumps and you're in business. If it's hot that's another story.....

Well we got the plow in the ground and are going in high gear. We could have had the plow a little deeper but then the modern tractors would have trouble. We are burning a mixture of gasoline, diesel fuel and water....
